ISTEP/ILead research team members receive Best Paper Award at IEEE ETHICS-2023

The research of Cindy Rottmann, Emily Moore and Andrea Chan was recognized with a best paper award at the annual IEEE Ethics conference held May 18-20, at Purdue University.  Their paper, Reifying Dominant Ideologies: Consequences of Decoupling Equity from Ethics in Engineering Education involved a critical, secondary analysis of three engineering leadership research projects to explore the consequences of separating ethics from equity in engineering education and practice.

The theme of the conference, “Ethics in the Global Innovation Helix” brought together a global community of educators, researchers and practitioners committed to investigating the social implications of technology. Follow this link to see the paper

Please join us in congratulating Cindy, Emily and Andrea on this important recognition of their work!
