Ashley Lawrence
General Manager | Ebay
Ashley Lawrence is the General Manager of eBay Canada. Previously Ashley was the COO of Kijiji Canada as well as the CFO of Kijiji Canada and International Markets and Advertising for Adevinta. Ashley started at Kijiji heading Kijiji’s Analytics and Strategy team after various roles at eBay. Previous to eBay, Ashley worked for one of Canada’s largest private equity firms, EdgeStone Capital Partners on their venture team. Additionally, Ashley has also worked for MMV Financial, a leader in venture debt lending. Ashley began his professional career with IBM Canada, first as a market and competitive analyst for one of their leading server brands. While at IBM Ashley developed his consulting skills (culminating in becoming a certified IBM consultant) with their Global Services division in their Information Security and Emerging Technologies practice. His clients included many financial services firms and two central banks. Ashley has a BASc from the University of Toronto in Industrial Engineering and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Ashley has completed all three levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.
Sanjay Malaviya

Sanjay Malaviya founded RL Solutions in 1997, building it into a leading provider of patient safety and healthcare quality software. He served as President and CEO from 1997 to 2018. In July 2018, he led the company through its merger with Datix, forming the global healthcare safety platform now known as RLDatix. Today, Sanjay serves on the RLDatix Board, providing strategic counsel and oversight to the business. During his tenure, Sanjay transformed RL Solutions from a single-product company born out of a hospital IT department into a global provider of risk management, patient feedback, claims management, and infection surveillance software used by more than 2,000 healthcare organizations worldwide. Under his leadership, the company earned an exclusive endorsement from the American Hospital Association for its incident management solution, RL6:Risk, and nine of the top ten hospitals in the United States became RL Solutions clients.
A graduate of the University of Waterloo with a degree in Computer Engineering, Sanjay brings a unique perspective to healthcare technology. Prior to founding RL Solutions, he spent nearly a decade working within a hospital IT environment, experience that deeply shaped his understanding of the challenges clinicians and healthcare systems face. His technical background allowed him to stay closely connected to the R&D team throughout his career, from code to user experience, ensuring that the company’s products remained both technically strong and intuitive for healthcare teams to use.Since stepping away from day-to-day operations at RLDatix, Sanjay has been involved in a variety of ventures in the hospitality and recreation space and remains an active investor in the technology community. Most recently, he founded the Malaviya Foundation, which supports his passions for athletics, education, and healthcare. Sanjay approaches every undertaking with the same belief – surround yourself with good people, put your team first, and then together take the best care of your clients and community.
Ted Maulucci

Ted Maulucci is the Founder of SmartONE Solutions Inc., a company committed to advancing the digital living experience in communities. Mr. Maulucci founded SmartONE after a 26 year career as the Chief Information Officer of a leading Toronto based multi-family real estate developer. Ted has an undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business with a specialization in Real Property Development. Ted is passionate about contribution and advancing innovation across Canada through partnerships and collaboration. He has been recognized with several international and local awards for IT leadership, IT application development, smart buildings, and social contribution. Some notable leadership and innovation awards are the “Top Ten Best in Class CIO’s in North America” by Computerworld, two “CIPA Gold Award of Excellence” for application development in the real estate industry, and the Mid-Career Award from the University of Toronto for impact on an industry in an engineering career.
For social contribution, Ted has been recognized with the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for promoting Canadian innovation, The Citizenship Award from Professional Engineers Ontario, and the 2017 Meritorious Service Award, Community Service from Engineers Canada. Ted’s efforts in smart and connected communities has garnered multiple Digie Awards from the Realcomm association for innovations in multi-family real estate. He also received a “Digital Impact” award, which is awarded to an individual that has caused a shift in the industry. In 2016, he was named the Private Sector Canadian CIO of the Year in 2016 for his work on advancing smart and connected communities.
Dan Rosen

Dan Rosen is CEO and co-founder of d1g1t Inc., a new wealth management platform powered by advanced analytics that provides transparent portfolio management services to financial advisers and their individual investors. Dr. Rosen is an internationally recognized Quant and FinTech Entrepreneur; he is also the inaugural Director of the Center for Financial Institutions at the Fields Institute for Research in Mathematical Sciences, as well as an Adjunct Professor of Mathematical Finance at the University of Toronto. Dr. Rosen was the co-founder and CEO of R2 Financial Technologies, acquired by S&P Capital IQ in 2012. Prior to this, he had a successful career over a decade at Algorithmics Inc. (acquired by IBM). In addition to working with numerous financial institutions around the world, he lectures extensively on risk and portfolio management financial engineering, and Fintech innovation. Dan was inducted in 2010 as a Fellow of the Fields Institute for his “outstanding contributions to the Fields Institute, its programs, and to the Canadian mathematical community”. He holds an MASc and PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Toronto.
Bonnie Rose

Bonnie Rose, P.Eng., was appointed President and CEO of the Technical Standards and Safety Authority effective April 4, 2018. Overseeing all aspects of TSSA’s business operations, Bonnie provides leadership on the overall direction and strategic priorities of the organization. Bonnie is focused on strengthening TSSA’s role as a well-respected leader in the safety industry and upholding safety excellence.
Bonnie is a seasoned executive with a passion for safety and in-depth knowledge and experience in technical standards. This passion is evident in her previous executive positions as the former CEO and Registrar of Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority; President of the Canadian Standards Association Group – CSA Standards; and Vice President of Service Delivery and Service Quality with CSA International.
Bonnie holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from Queen’s University, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Toronto, and a Chartered Director from The Directors College.
Jason Sukhram
Engagement Manager | Quinn + Partners Inc.
Jason has dedicated his career to demonstrating that business and finance can be a force for positive social and environmental change. As a Director at Quinn+Partners, Jason leads the firm's Responsible Investing & Impact Services, advising pension funds, asset owners, family offices, foundations, corporations, and financial institutions on mobilizing capital to generate measurable social and environmental outcomes alongside financial returns. He previously spent nearly five years at the MaRS Centre for Impact Investing, advising governments, foundations, and corporations on structuring impact investment vehicles and outcomes-based financing transactions.
Earlier in his career, Jason worked with the Clinton Foundation's poverty alleviation initiative, supporting agricultural social enterprises across Latin America, Africa, and Asia, and lived in Colombia to help build early-stage businesses connecting smallholder farmers and fishers to more profitable markets. He began his career in international development, conducting field research in Kenya on private sector entrepreneurship in global health with an interdisciplinary research group at St. Michael's Hospital and the University of Toronto. Jason completed his BASc and MBA at the University of Toronto through the Jeffrey Skoll BASc/MBA Scholarship program and was an highly engaged student leader in the Troost ILead’s (formerly, Leaders of Tomorrow) cross-faculty initiatives.
Bill Troost

Bill Troost graduated from U of T’s Department of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry with his B.A.Sc. in 1967. He worked for Union Carbide until 1973 when he undertook MBA studies at the University of Western Ontario, graduating in 1975. Bill started to work in the flexible packaging business and founded Peel Plastic Products in 1978. The company has grown from two employees in 4,000 square feet to 400 employees in 300,000 square feet; their business is “innovative flexible packaging solutions”. Bill is President and CEO. He has served on the Chemical Engineering Board of Advisors since 2005. He is a long-term supporter of ILead (formerly LOT) programming and was instrumental in establishing the “Troost Family Leaders of Tomorrow Award” for Fourth Year Chemical Engineering students.
Jennifer Graham-Harkness

Jennifer Graham Harkness, P.Eng., is the Chief Engineer and Executive Director of Engineering and Construction Services for the City of Toronto. She leads a team of over 600 staff and manages more than $1 billion in annual capital projects across water, wastewater, stormwater, transportation, and solid waste infrastructure. With over 30 years of experience, including leadership roles at the Ministry of Transportation Ontario, Jennifer is passionate about developing teams and systems that reliably deliver high-quality infrastructure that meets community expectations. She has contributed to organizational transformations and champions diversity, inclusion, and equity in her professional endeavors.
Nancy Webb
Executive Vice President, Corporate Affairs and Marketing | Sienna Senior Living
Nancy Webb is a seasoned public affairs executive with extensive leadership experience within the entire health system including the pharma, acute care, long-term care, seniors’ living, medical association, and regulatory sectors.
Throughout her career, she has built integrated strategies that unite traditional, digital, and social platforms to strengthen organizational profile, advance policy priorities, and enhance stakeholder value. Nancy’s work has consistently helped organizations navigate complex environments, shape public narratives, and build trusted relationships with team members, government, industry, and community partners.
She also serves on multiple provincial association boards, committees, and advisory groups, providing strategic counsel on advocacy, governance, communications, and sector advancement.
Nancy’s achievements have been recognized with awards from the International Association of Business Communicators and the Health Care Public Relations Association. She holds a degree in Mass Communication and a certificate in Public Affairs.
Mario Di Pietro

Mario Di Pietro is a Co-Founder and Managing Director of Origin Merchant Partners, a leading independent North American investment banking firm headquartered in Toronto, Canada. As a founding partner, Mario led the formation and growth of Origin’s technology investment banking practice. Mario’s technology investment banking career spans 26 years, having previously worked in the Technology, Media and Telcom investment banking group at CIBC World Markets and the Technology investment banking group at BMO Capital Markets. Over his career, Mario has worked with numerous public and private technology clients across North America; advising boards, entrepreneurs and founders on various types of transactions, including divestitures, acquisitions, mergers, strategic investments, IPOs, and seed through to growth equity financings. Prior to investment banking, Mario worked as a Design Engineer at Magna International focused on designing engine components for European OEMs. Driven by a passion for technology and innovation, Mario dedicated his investment banking career on serving the technology sector. In addition to advising technology clients, Mario has been actively involved in the Canadian technology ecosystem, having served on several public and private technology boards and an active investor in technology companies at various growth stages. Mario has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Master of Business Administration from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.
