We are a program that offers a holistic approach towards engineering business education, and provides students the opportunity to learn more about the career paths at the intersection of engineering and business. Engineering Business Futures offers co-curricular activities like exciting career stories speaker series, engineering-business case competitions, a mentorship program, and dynamic networking events.

Mentorship Program
The Engineering Business Futures Mentorship Program is collaborating with professionals from Deloitte to offer an exclusive 8-week mentorship program! You'll work closely with your mentor to explore opportunities for personal and professional growth while gaining insight into industry-specific knowledge and skills. With a focus on engineering business careers, this program provides valuable networking opportunities while engaging in career development activities and conversations.
By participating in the Engineering Business Futures Mentorship Program, you will;
- Acquire hands-on experience working with a top consulting firm
- Develop a mentor-mentee relationship through exclusive networking opportunities
- Improve your ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively, preparing you for future career success
Program Timeline:

- December 5, 2024: "Effective Networking & Relationship Building" Workshop (in-person)
- Week of January 6, 2025: Program Launch: Mentor-Mentees Meet (in-person)
- Week of April 7, 2025: Program Closing & Next Steps (in-person)

Case Competition
The Engineering Business futures annual Case Competitions are a weekend-long business case competition designed exclusively for undergraduate engineering students. This event serves as a platform for young, talented minds to showcase their problem-solving abilities, critical thinking skills, and business acumen. The competition challenges our engineering students to analyze real-world engineering business problems and propose innovative and sustainable solutions while considering the financial, technical, and ethical aspects. With a focus on interdisciplinary collaboration and practical application, the Engineering Business Futures case competition aims to foster a spirit of innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership among the next generation of engineers.
Past partners have included: Proctor & Gamble, Toronto Global, Oncor Energy, OMERS, Li-Cycle, and Sardo Foods.
